Frank V. Peñones, Jr.

A poet, translator, actor and visual artist, Frank V. Peñones Jr. is credited as one of the instigators in the continuing literary renaissance in the Bikol region. He has received awards from the Archdiocese of Caceres and from the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature for his journalistic and creative works. An MFA Graduate from San Jose State University in California, he teaches at Bicol University and runs an art space called Cobacho in Iriga City.
