Gilbert Allen

Gilbert Allen is the author of five collections of poems, including Driving to Distraction (Orchises, 2003), which was featured on The Writer’s Almanac and Verse Daily.Some of his newest poems and stories have appeared in Able Muse, Appalachian Heritage, Appalachian Journal, Flyway, Measure, Sewanee Theological Review, The South Carolina Review, and The Southern Review.He is the Bennette E. Geer Professor of Literature at Furman University.
