Holly Thompson

Holly Thompson (www.hatbooks.com) is the author of the novel Ash (Stone Bridge Press, 2001) and two YA novels in verse: Orchards (Delacorte/Random House, 2011), winner of the APALA Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature, and The Language Inside (Delacorte/Random House, 2013). Her stories and poems have appeared in magazines in Japan and the U.S., and she co-writes the DoubleTake column of ANA’s Wingspan magazine. Raised in New England but a longtime resident of Japan, she edited Tomo: Friendship Through Fiction—An Anthology of Japan Teen Stories (Stone Bridge Press, 2012). She serves as regional advisor for the Tokyo chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and teaches at Yokohama City University.
