Sherod Santos

Sherod Santos’s most recent book is The Intricated Soul: New and Selected Poems. He has received grants from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, and he was a finalist for the National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award in Criticism, and The New Yorker Book Award. In 2006, he was presented with the Umhoefer Prize in the Humanities for his book of translations, Greek Lyric Poetry. He is also a recipient of Theodore Roethke Memorial Prize and an Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He lives in Chicago.
