Cal Massey is a retired newspaper editor who is not an enemy of the people. His first novel, Own Little Worlds, won the 2020 Kenneth Patchen Award for the Innovative Novel from the Journal of Experimental Fiction. His short fiction appears in New Critique, Unlikely Stories, The Sun, and elsewhere. He and his wife, Lynn, and their six cats live in Florida.
